Wheat Sheaf with Sunflower Mixed metal: silver-plate and brass / cast and assembled / mid 20th century / curated for the mantle 

A sculptural candle holder formed as a gathered wheat sheaf in warm brass. A single detachable flower form candle cup, rendered as a sunflower head in oxidised silver plate. The two-tone metal palette of gilded brass and darkened silver gives the piece an almost Art Nouveau drama. The flower cup is removable and the construction is both robust and delicate.

Collector's note: An evocative piece of mid-century French decorative metalwork in the botanical tradition.
