Features a brass box pendant suspended on a long fine brass link chain. The front closure features an ornately cast brass filigree clasp with scrollwork and botanical detailing. The interior opens to reveal a small compartment, originally used as a visiting card case, vinaigrette, or compact. The brass has developed a rich natural patina consistent with its age.

Collector's note: A rare and highly desirable form of Victorian personal accessory jewellery.
