A bold dome-form cocktail ring in handmade Murano glass, worked in a dramatic swirling pattern of deep black, cream white, each colour drawn through the molten glass to create a pattern that is entirely unique to this piece. The domed top has a highly polished surface with deep interior colour; the interior band is smooth cream. Lightweight and comfortable to wear despite its sculptural presence. Made using ancient Venetian glass techniques by master artisans — no two Murano glass rings are ever exactly the same. Approximate decade: Mid-century Murano, Italy. Approx Size 7

Collector's note: Murano glass rings of this bold dome form were at the height of Italian design fashion through the 1960s and 70s the cocktail ring as wearable sculpture. The black and white marbled palette gives this piece a timeless graphic quality that reads as contemporary today. A genuine piece of Venetian glass craft.
